Neuroaffirming Coaching
A personal guide to find the best version of yourself
What is Neuroaffirming Coaching?
Learning to See the Unseen
When you look at this picture, what do you see? A smiley face? If you recognize that this is an autostereogram, popularized by Magic Eye, you may be able to discover the 3D face hidden within the picture. Then again, even knowing it's supposed to be there, all you may see is a repeating pattern with no discernable purpose. Discovering what you can't easily see requires focus, effort, and (most importantly) the motivation to keep trying until you succeed.
Neurodivergence is a lot like this picture. That indiscernible image, filled with chaotic and inconsistent arrays of colors or shapes, is how most people see us. With so many voices telling us that's all they can see, it's what we start to believe. For members of the ADHD/AuDHD crew, it can be an exhausting and frustrating endeavor trying to change that image into something that makes sense to everyone else. It can feel like we're painting with water on a sunny day, feverishly working to finish before all our progress evaporates away.
At Emergent Focus, we start by helping our clients learn to see the fascinating, capable version of themselves that's hidden in plain sight. By shifting our focus beyond the surface, we can see ourselves, our thoughts, and our futures in new and often unexpected ways. With this fresh perspective, we get to work designing systems and tweaking life strategies that play to each individual's unique strengths and ways of engaging with the world. It's not just about adapting; it's about thriving on our own terms.
By shifting our focus beyond the surface, we can see ourselves, our thoughts, and our futures in new and often unexpected ways.
